Booking and Check-In Policies

There is a non-refundable $50 administration fee for all hotel reservations.

Check-in during 4:00 pm and 11pm, Check-out before 11:00 am

A valid credit card will be required from all guests upon Check-In for a $200 pre-authorization for security deposit and incidentals, plus any remaining monies owing on the balance of the reservation.

Accessible rooms are available only through direct booking with a hotel front desk agent and are subject to availability.

We have a limited number of Pet Rooms available only through direct booking with a hotel front desk agent and are subject to availability. *Pets are only inclusive of dogs under 30lbs

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy June- August

Free cancellation/modification until 4 pm, 14 days before arrival minus $50 administration fee on all reservations. Cancellations made within 14 days a penalty of the entire stay, including tax, can be charged for late cancellation/modification, no-show, and early departure.

Cancellation Policy September to May

Free cancellation/modification until 4 pm, 3 days before arrival, minus $50 administration fee on all reservations. Cancellations made within 3 days a penalty of the entire stay, including tax, can be charged for late cancellation/modification, no-show, and early departure.


 


 

Guarantee Deposit Policy

A 50% deposit of the full stay, including tax, is required and will be charged at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid upon check-in. Guarantee deposit policy is subject to change depending on promotional and group packages.

Harbour House Hotel has established a comprehensive housekeeping policy. We commit to cleanliness and simplicity that elevates comfort naturally. Our rooms are crafted with a subtle design for a richer experience, with minimalist touches yet maximum comfort. Environmental stewardship guides every detail in our rooms, from low-energy lighting to responsible water use plus locally crafted amenities. We’re committed to preserving the natural beauty that makes this island special, for our guests now and for generations to come. We provide daily housekeeping service; however, we ask you to join us in doing your part in helping support our ocean-friendly and thoughtful waste reduction practices. Sustainability isn’t a program here, it's part of our everyday hospitality.


 

Potential Fees

Our Smoke-Free Policy

  • All indoor spaces, including guest rooms, balconies, patios, and all common areas, are strictly smoke-free.
  • The policy applies to tobacco smoking, e-cigarettes/vaping devices, and cannabis within any indoor area, as well as on balconies and patios.
  • Smoking is prohibited within 10 metres (approximately 32 feet) of any building entrance, window, or air intake as directed by CRD bylaws.

Penalties and Enforcement: A discretionary $500 cleaning and remediation charge will be billed to the guest’s credit card if smoking occurs in guest rooms, balconies, patios, or non-designated areas. The charge may be applied in addition to any other applicable penalties or fees and covers the costs of thorough cleaning and deodorization. Repeated violations may result in further actions, up to and including non-renewal of reservations or eviction in accordance with hotel policies.

Designated Smoking Area: Smoking is permitted only in the back parking area, in the designated smoking area. Please, dispose of cigarette butts in the provided ash receptacles to prevent litter and fire.

Please be mindful and respect this policy for the comfort and health of all guests and staff. If smoking is observed in non-designated areas, please report the incident to the front desk.

Quiet Time Policy: To maintain a peaceful environment, rooms that generate excessive noise between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM may incur additional charges. Fees may be charged per night.

Extra Cleaning Policy: Any room that requires additional cleaning will incur up to a $500 per-night charge. This fee helps cover the costs associated with enhanced cleaning and guest experience.

Unauthorized Pets: A $500 per-night cleaning fee will be charged for rooms that contain unauthorized pets. This fee helps cover cleaning costs and restore the room for the next guest.
