Harbour House has been part of the fabric of Salt Spring Island for over a century. Each year we support a limited number of local organizations, events, and causes — this page explains how we choose, and how to apply.

Community Donations
We're proud to support a number of local non-profit organizations and community fundraisers each year. Thank you for thinking of Harbour House — please read the eligibility information below before submitting your request and letter.
Donation Eligibility

Requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the event, to allow time for proper review.

We support fundraising events that benefit education, the arts, health, and environmental non-profits, mainly within Western Canada.

We provide in-kind donations for silent or live auction fundraising events for specific organizations.

Direct financial support and donations for raffles or door prizes are not available.

We consider requests for organizations that aren't already the recipient of a donation from us that year.

Where several events benefit one charity, we prefer to donate directly to that charity rather than to each event.

Due to the volume of requests we receive, we can't contribute to every application. Only selected organizations will be contacted, and a certificate with a letter outlining the donation value and validity period will be mailed.
Please complete the form below and attach a formal donation request letter on your organization's letterhead when you send it — requests without a letter can't be reviewed.
